THE HEART OF THE HORNBY ISLAND COMMUNITY
Hornby Island Co-op was started in 1955 as a way for island residents to provide themselves with food, fuel, household and hardware goods at fair, reasonable prices. Our deep roots in the local community make us a uniquely Hornby organization.

Today, at the Co-op, you can check out the local art show while picking up your mail, groceries, hardware, houseware, liquor, produce, meats, seafood, deli-style grab n go, locally sourced products, seasonal treats and much more.
The grocery store has a wide selection of daily necessities and specialty items, including locally-made soaps and organic beauty products, fresh-ground, locally roasted organic coffee, speciality cheeses and fresh made grab-and-go food in the deli, local, organic and conventional meats, and fresh, seasonal, locally-grown produce.
