HERRING FEST 2024
HerringFest 2024 will take place March 7th—9th at the Hornby Island Community Hall.
Thursday, March 7th: Art Show Opening
Friday, March 8th: Film Night
Saturday, March 9th: Herring School and Herring Ball
Join us for Conservancy Hornby Island’s 8th Annual HerringFest!
Enjoy SEA LIFE BOAT TRIPS, the Hornby Arts ART SHOW, FRIDAY FILM NIGHT, HERRINGSCHOOL and the HERRINGBALL FUNDRAISER DANCE!
See herds of sea lions, seabirds, spawning herring and potentially whales. In 2023, from the good ship Sun Corona, the restored tug La Fille and AFC Landing Barge. Will they be the same in 2024?………a surprise!
We invite you to enjoy marine-themed artwork in different forms and media during the Art Show, with proceeds going to both artists and CHI.
Get inspired watching environmental films with filmmakers present for Q&A followed by great discussions and presentations at Herring School with indigenous leaders, award-winning authors, change-makers, and scientific researchers, and more!
