Join Iakotsenhtha Heather Royal Brant, educator, naturalist, and cultural presenter to learn about the Woodpecker, it’s close relatives, amazing attributes and it’s role in our forest ecosystem. Using two-eyed seeing (Indigenous knowledge & science lens) we will learn, explore and connect via sound, vibration, and observation to these extraordinary birds through poetry, art, storytelling and drumming. The woodpecker is often known as the July bird come learn why!
