Hornby’s Watering Hole is Back!
After nearly five years, the Thatch Pub and Restaurant has reopened — and the island couldn’t be happier. As Hornby’s only pub, the Thatch is once again the place to gather, relax, and celebrate community.
Set right at the water’s edge, the Thatch serves up everything from fresh salads to hearty schnitzel, classic burgers, and fish & chips — with plenty more on their tasty menu to discover. Enjoy a meal inside or out on the deck that reaches over the bay, where the view is as memorable as the food. With the ferry terminal just minutes away, take-out is easy, and boaters can tie up at the dock for a quick stop.
Events are celebrated at the Thatch, from Super Bowl and Canada Day celebrations, with live music nights and The Wave on Labour Day. Friday music nights are timed with late ferries so our Denman neighbours can join the fun too.
