Jeffrey Rubinoff Sculpture Park
August 9, 2022 @ 9:30 am - 1:30 pm
FREEFirst opened to the public in 2008, the park is situated on a farm purchased by Rubinoff in 1973 for the purpose of the creation and storage of his work. Rubinoff repurposed its barn, originally built in 1889, into a fabrication and casting studio, and worked there from 1980 until his death in 2017. For more than thirty years in the making, the 200-acre Jeffrey Rubinoff Sculpture Park is home to over a hundred steel sculptures – artist Jeffrey Rubinoff’s life’s work.
The park is an amazing opportunity to go and walk through the life’s work of an artist who called his sculptures “music in 3D form”.
Jeffrey Rubinoff wanted the Park to be a place for the appreciation of non-commodity values of art. As such, there is no charge for admittance, or for tours, concerts, or events. The sculptures are permanently sited. They are not for sale, and cannot be shown in another museum or any other context.
Preparing for your visit
The exhibit covers ca. 100 acres. Self-guided visitors should plan a minimum of at least 45 minutes to see the whole park. Curator-led tours take around two hours.
The artist’s studio is open to visitors. However, as per the artist’s wishes, we recommend visiting the studio after seeing the sculptures.
The Hornby bus stops at the Sculpture Park. Please see Hornby Bus for a schedule.
