Fossil Beach Farms: Sunday Sessions – Jonas Shandel

Frontman and co-founder of the Vancouver band Headwater, Jonas toured extensively across North America and Europe and appeared at the Hornby Island festival back in 2011. He then spent five years starring as Johnny Cash in ‘Ring of Fire’ and ‘Million Dollar Quartet’ at the Chemainus Theatre which lead to performances at The Arts Club Theatre and Citadel Theatre in Edmonton, among others. Recently, Jonas has been working in Berlin, Germany as a published songwriter.  Recent activity with side project; “Shandel & Samuels” yielded chart positions in the top 100 in Germany and Norway with their song, ‘Desert Island’. Jonas Shandel’s performances are always full of heart, humour, melodic and captivating songs that almost fall into their own unique genre as they are timeless, yet familiar and tell many beautiful stories.
