Tessa Mythos

Tessa Mythos, working under the name Art by Mythos, is a visual artist whose visionary and mythically inspired paintings explore the connections between humanity, nature and the divine. Deeply influenced by the wild beauty of the West Coast, she creates richly imagined works drawing on mythology, legend, dreams, symbolism and the natural world.

Tessa sees art as a form of sacred medicine, with imagination, creativity and intuition providing a bridge between our inner and outer worlds. Her work reflects a fascination with the mystical and symbolic, expressed through luminous, intricately detailed paintings.

Based between Victoria and Hornby Island, Tessa exhibits internationally while continuing to work and show on Hornby. She is furthering her practice in Old Masters painting techniques, bringing together traditional methods, contemporary vision and a deep reverence for the beauty and wisdom of nature.
