Welcome to Tranquility
DESCRIPTION: House Description: This is an ideal family getaway home. Tranquility has a well equipped kitchen, eating area for six and a lovely spacious living room with TV. A set of stairs leads to a loft bedroom with its own bathroom with tub/shower, toilet and sink. On the main floor there is a common ½ bathroom.
Outside there is a huge level lawn, three decks, a BBQ and deck chairs. The owner has a supply of beach chairs and umbrellas for guest use.
Water: The water is supplied by a well and goes through a water filter system. The water is good for cooking, washing dishes, bathing etc. For drinking you will be supplied with five gallons of water. The water container can be refilled from the Co-op Gas Bar or Ford’s Cove dispenser (for a small charge).
Linens: In line with the water conservation efforts on the island, the guests are required to bring their own sheets, pillowcases, towels, and dishcloths. Comforters and pillows are provided.
Garbage and Recycling: As part of the Hornby Island experience you will be required to visit the Hornby Island Recycling Centre and dispose of your own garbage and recycling before the end of your stay. Refundable bottles and cans can be donated to the Hornby Island Preschool which uses the funds to support their programs.

- There is no access to a washer and dryer
- There is a TV (no cablevision)
- Maximum parking for two vehicles permitted
- Fireplace cannot be used

Pets: This home does not permit pets.
Occupancy: Maximum 6 guests including children.
Turnover Day and Length of Stay: In summer season, this home is a Saturday turnover and books for a minimum of 7 days. In shoulder season turnover days are flexible and the minimum length of stay is 3 days.
Bed Configuration: This home has three bedrooms. The main bedroom is on the ground floor and has a new king size bed. There is a second bedroom located on the main floor with a single bed. On the second floor there is a separate loft with a queen size bed and two single beds.
Location: Whaling Station Tranquility is 150 steps from Whaling Station Beach! Set back off the road, Whaling Station Tranquility is situated on a large two acre property across from the last access to the beach. A great location for those families with children, as it is such a short walk to the beach.

2026 PRICING:
Summer Season $2870 per week plus taxes
Shoulder Season runs from May 1st to last week of June and from last week of August to end of September. The rate is 25% off the summer rate, which is prorated for the length of stay (minimum 3 days) plus taxes. A cleaning fee of $220 will also be added for any rental which is less than seven days.

- 50% payment is due at the time of booking.
- Remaining balance due 60 days before arrival.
CANCELLATION POLICY
- 100% of paid prepayments are refundable when canceled 60 days before arrival or earlier.
- 50% of paid prepayments are refundable when canceled 30 days before arrival or earlier.
- 0% refundable if cancelled after.
