SANDPIPER WATERFRONT COTTAGE

Spectacular views await you at this lovely southeast-facing property adjacent to Sandpiper Beach, and overlooking the Salish Sea (Georgia Straits). View includes the Coastal Range and Vancouver Island’s snow-capped peaks. Our sunny, one acre, level yard is ideal for sunbathing, reading, resting, playing croquet or badminton, bird watching, or simply enjoying the beautiful panoramas. Sunrises are gorgeous, and the tides recede to reveal beautiful sandstone rock formations and tide pools. Enjoy time with family and friends, or re-energize in the solitude, sun and lovely vistas. This unique spot is sure to revive the mind, body, and spirit. Steps from Sandpiper Beach; 10 minutes to Tribune Bay and Coop.

House: The kitchen comes fully equipped, including a microwave and coffee maker. A washer/dryer is available. The house includes 3 bedrooms, with a queen sized bed in each bedroom. There is one full bathroom with a bathtub and separate shower. The cedar panelled great room has large picture windows overlooking the scenic Salish Sea. There’s a cozy wood burning stove, and electric baseboard heaters. Barbeque and stereo/CD player also available. Water: Non-sulphuric cistern rainwater.

Outdoors: 1 acre, flat, open grassy yard adjacent to Sandpiper Beach with stunning water views. Handmade cedar picnic table and benches provide a perfect outdoor eating spot, and in a spectacular setting. The east side of the house is flanked by a mature mixed fruit orchard, which includes heritage apples. There’s an outdoor deck facing the water; an ideal spot for watching morning sunrises while sipping on that first cup of morning coffee or tea, and a great spot to wind down the day at dinner time. Easily accessible steps lead to the water and beach, where there are fascinating tide pools to explore at low tide. Sea lions can be seen sunning on the rocks, and a variety of sea and land birds feed along the beach, including Great Blue Herons, Bald Eagles, and Sandpipers.

Non-smokers only. No pets, no camping.
