WELCOME TO PEACEFUL, PRIVATE HORNBY
This pleasant, bright, Hornby Island home is located on eleven acres of open field and second-growth forest. You are near Grassy Point, Cardboard Bakery, recycling depot and community hall, and a short ride from the Co-op and Big Trib.
Enjoy your privacy here. The house has two bedrooms with double beds. There is also one fold-out couch, so the house can comfortably sleep up to six. Heating is by wood stove and electric baseboard heaters.
The water is excellent and abundant—one of Hornby’s best wells—and we drink it straight from the tap, but we must conserve during the summer months.
There is a bathroom with shower and bathtub.
The kitchen has a new fridge and stove, microwave, toaster, coffee grinder, waffle iron, and the usual pots, pans, cutlery and dishes. A dining area comfortably sits six.
The living room, dining area and study have newly installed wood veneer floors. The separate study/sewing room has a TV and DVD player (no cable). The large deck, has picnic table, chairs and a BBQ.
You need to bring your own blankets, pillows, sheets (doubles), pillow cases and kitchen, beach and bath towels. We have no laundry facilities.
Smoking outside only. Pets are welcome.
Central location; walk or bike the forested back trail to the library, community hall, Joe King Park, and summer markets.
$1,200 per week from June 1 to September 15, plus 8% ($96) hotel room tax.
$1,000 per week May 1 – June 15 and September 15 – September 30, plus 8% ($80) hotel room tax.
Half the rental is required as a deposit at the time of booking and the rest is due one month before occupancy.
