Welcome to the Orchid House
Nestled on a sprawling 9.5-acre property, this vacation rental is a 2400 sq ft custom built Quonset-style house that is sure to impress. Located in the heart of the island, it boasts a central location that is walking distance to the community hall and playground, making it a wonderful getaway for families. There is direct access to the trail network through the corner of the property, making it easy for mountain bikers or nature enthusiasts to explore the island’s beauty without having to use a car.
The house has a fantastic open concept floor plan with 18 ft barreled pine ceilings and a wall of windows that allows natural light to flood into the house. The kitchen is outfitted with high-end appliances including a Bertazzoni dual fuel range & a Fisher Paykel double drawer dish washer & fridge and has an island with seating for up to four people. The house has two bedrooms downstairs, with the primary bedroom featuring a king bed, a large TV and a private four-piece ensuite. The secondary bedroom has a queen bed and a comfy lounge chair that invites you to curl up with a book. If you didn’t bring any, the library is just a short walk away! There is also a large three-piece main floor bathroom with an extra large, tiled shower for added convenience. Upstairs, the mezzanine boasts a queen bed, a king bed, and a small bathroom. Each bedroom will be outfitted with a large fan to help keep cool on hot summer nights.
The house is very private and does not have curtains, allowing you to enjoy the property’s privacy from every room. There is a very large front deck with an outdoor dining area, seating area, propane fire table & BBQ. Part of the deck is covered by a pergola for shade, making it the perfect spot to sit back, relax and enjoy the company of your loved ones. The property is excellent for entertaining, making it the ideal spot for hosting family and friends.
Tribune Bay is only 2 km away, making it easy to access the beach and enjoy the warm waters of the bay. With its highly convenient yet private location, stunning interiors, and impressive amenities, this vacation rental is the perfect place to call home during your island getaway.

July & August 7 Day Rentals Only $4850 + 8% PST + 5% GST & 3% MRDT per week.
May, June & September Minimum 3 Day Rentals $1750 for 3 Days or $4000 for 7 Days
Check-in Saturday at 4 pm and check-out Saturday at 10 am.
Payment by e-transfer only please.
To secure your dates, a deposit of 50% is due at the time of booking. All remaining summer rental fees are due 15 days prior to arrival. In the event of cancellation, the deposit will be refunded if we can fill the time you’ve booked. Additional $1000 damage deposit refundable within 24 hours after checkout.
