Mossy Rock Cabin
Enjoy an authentic Hornby experience in this rustic but charming cabin located just a few minutes’ walk from Grassy Point, Galleon Beach neighbourhood.
Mossy Rock Cabin is most suitable for couples and young families looking to experience the beauty and tranquility of Hornby’s natural environment, while living lightly on the land. (This means being ok with using an outhouse!)
This two bedroom home has a maximum number of four guests with an open plan design. There is one washroom and outdoor shower.
The cabin is open plan with distinct cooking/eating, living and sleeping areas. In the living area, floor to ceiling windows look out onto the part grassy, part treed half-acre lot. There is a bunk bed in the sleeping area (double below, single above) and, in the living area, the sofa converts into a double bed.
The kitchen facilities are simple and include: a full-size sink; table and chairs for four; a small fridge; two convection hot plates; a toaster oven; a kettle; and a toaster. Pots and pans, cooking utensils, dinnerware, glassware and cutlery are also provided.
The cabin has electricity and hot and cold running water. The water is from a cistern and rain water catchment system and is not suitable for drinking. Water dispenser. You will be supplied with a ten gallon container of drinking water (which can be refilled for a reasonable price at the Co-op).
There is a small indoor washroom equipped with a washbasin. The main toilet is an outhouse; however, the washroom has a homemade composting toilet, suitable for nighttime / occasional use. There is an outdoor shower (with hot water).
This sweet, simple cabin also comes with:

Pricing
High Season: $1300 per week.
Shoulder Season: $167 per night (minimum 3 night booking).
During the summer season, this is a weekly rental only with the check in and check out date on a Thursday.

In the shoulder season shorter rentals (minimum 3 days stay) are considered. The shoulder season runs from May 1 to mid-June and after the September long weekend to the end of September. A cleaning fee of $100 will be added to any rental less than one week.
Applicable taxes are not included in the price and will be added at time of booking.
50% payment is due at time of booking.
Remaining balance due 60 days before arrival.
Cancellation Policy
100% of paid prepayments refundable when canceled 60 days before arrival or earlier.
50% of paid prepayments refundable when canceled 30 days before arrival or earlier.
0% refundable if cancelled after.
