Hornby Central Snug

Centrally located on Hornby Island, The Snug is a small cabin situation on 2.5 acres of private land.

The cabin is snuggly.  One bedroom (queen bed), an equipped galley kitchen (stove, fridge, microwave), a bathroom (shower, no toilet*), and a living area.  *Enjoy a back-to-the-land experience with an outhouse instead of an indoor toilet.

Land was contributed by the property owner for the Hornby Roadside Path Network.  This path runs from the Coop Store to the Community Hall, and beyond.  Meaning, the  Community Hall, Farmers’ Market, School Playing Field, and Joe King Recreation Park are all a short walk away, in one direction.  And the Coop Store, Ringside Market, Restaurants, and Fruit Stand Market are close by in the other direction.  You can walk, or bike, to Tribune Bay Beach via that path and Shields Road.

Also, there is a stop for the Hornby Summer Bus at the Community Hall corner, which ensures easy access to it’s served route for our guests.  (www.hornbybus.com).

The property offers privacy, without a neighbour in sight, but shared with birds and the occasional deer.

Enjoy the yard, with natural vegetation and rock gardens.

By prior arrangement, there is a canvas prospector-style tent available, or to bring a well-behaved dog.

The tent:  14 x 16′, with new queen and single beds.  It is only rented in conjunction with the cabin.
