ABOVE TRIBUNE BAY

Our home sits among firs and arbutus trees, high on the bluff overlooking legendary Tribune Bay.

It is a few minutes walk to spectacular Helliwell Park and a quick car or bike ride down to the wide sandy beach and swimming waters of Tribune Bay.

Floor to ceiling windows allow for full appreciation of the location, with the forest behind and the ocean in front.

Watch eagles in our ancient arbutus trees and deer grazing in the nearby woods.

On sunny days, relax and dine on the large deck. On cool days, cuddle up next to the woodstove.

For more information, photos and videos of our home, please have a look at Above Tribune Bay.

Smoking and pets are not allowed in the home or on the property.

Because of the high cliff, this is not a safe location for young children. However, this is a great place for adults or families with older children looking for a quiet get-away.

Please feel free to call us with any questions you may have. We look forward to hearing from you.

Area Attractions

The house is perfectly located on the clifftop between the two best features of Hornby Island: Tribune Bay beach (a 5-minute drive or 25-minute walk through woods northward) and Helliwell Provincial Park (a 10-minute walk southward). It is also conveniently close to Sea Breeze Lodge for fine-dining and people attending weddings. Hornby Island has lots of waterfront access, including the sandstone shelves at Ford’s Cove and the beach at Whaling Station Bay. There are great hiking and mountain-biking trails to explore in Mount Geoffrey Regional Park. Check out the island’s many artists studios, the Saturday farmers’ market, the meadery, wineries, cafes, and Friday-night jazz at the Thatch Pub. Rent a bike. Rent a kayak. Come stay during the Hornby Festival in August or the Blues Workshop in May.

From the deck is one of the best views anywhere in the world.
