Story Walks: Stepping Stones: Refugee Family’s Journey

HIES Literacy Outreach in partnership with Comox Valley Lifelong Learning is inviting everyone to come and participate in the Summer Series Story Walks.

A Story Walk is a self guided literacy activity that place as picture book (taken apart page by page) put into nature. The idea of the walk to engage in learning while being surrounded by nature.

Location: Schoolhouse trail (from the school field to the big tree)

July 21 – August 5: The Invisible String by Patrice Karst
August 6 – 17: Stepping Stones: Refugee Family’s Journey by Margriet Ruurs
August 19 – 27: Salma the Syrian Chef by Danny Ramadan
August 28 – September 6: Wishes by Mu’o’n Thi Vãn
