Light Pours In: Poems for an Opening
Included in the Hornby Arts Centre official opening events on Friday Sept 12 we will have poetry.
Featuring Lorna Crozier and Cornelia Hoogland
Lorna Crozier is an Officer of the Order of Canada, her books have received numerous awards including the Governor General’s Award for Poetry. In 2018, Lorna Crozier received the George Woodcock Lifetime Achievement Award. Lorna says she would be honoured to help us celebrate the opening of the new Arts Centre on Hornby Island.
Cornelia Hoogland is a Canadian poet, playwright and retired professor who lives on Hornby Island. In 2023 Cornelia Hoogland was awarded the Colleen Thibaudeau Award for her outstanding contribution to Canadian poetry.
This event is one that it is not to be missed!
