The Grand Opening of the Hornby Arts Centre on September 12, 2025, will be a celebration of community, creativity, and partnership. This high-profile public event will mark the official launch of the new Arts Centre and bring together the many funders, cultural leaders, government partners, and community members who made this ambitious project, and impactful investment,  possible.

The event will feature live arts programming—including music, dance, and curated exhibitions—as well as a catered reception that highlights local food and hospitality. Cultural participation will be with a formal welcome and ceremony by Indigenous leaders. We will formally acknowledge and thank the elected officials who supported the project, key funders and doners, both private and public, and the event will include speeches from key political and government representatives.
