Aden crane has had a stained glass studio on Hornby Island since 1981. Previously he worked very briefly in an early stained glass studio in Gastown Vancouver BC in the late 60s with the noted glass painter Michael Fisher. With a background of academic arts at UBC Aden has always been drawn to nature as his primary subject matter in Stained Glass. He has invented special techniques in solder sculpting and computer part based designs in Glass. He has done numerous solo art shows and group exhibitions on Hornby Island in the past 35 years in Stained Glass. His landscapes often reflect Hornby island views and special trees. The Artist milieu and atmosphere of Hornby Island has led him into studies of impressionistic painters and the famous works of Glass Masters such as Louis Comfort Tiffany. Aden Crane has worked in many sizes of Glass projects including small boxes and sun-catchers and large stained glass panels for residential or business spaces. Commissions always welcome.
