We invite you to share the beauty of Hornby Island at this luxurious Guesthouse. A Tidal Treasure is a waterfront designer-built, private, high-end home located between legendary Grassy Point Park and Hidden beach, with beautifully landscaped grounds and direct access to a private beach.

Our expansive cedarwood deck offers both spacious and intimate areas with multiple possibilities for sun tanning, sitting back with a book or a glass of wine, or enjoying your meals and hosting your own guests, with spectacular vistas of passing ocean wildlife as a backdrop.

The house is ideally suited for a large family or a group of friends. All the rooms are independent, eclectic and tastefully decorated with oriental carpets and original art and crafts from around the world.  All main floor rooms have independent access to the outside and unencumbered views of the water and mountains. The spacious master bedroom upstairs opens to a large private waterfront balcony. You will enjoy extraordinary sunrises, sunsets and the occasional moonrise from every room in the comfort of a home.

The house is fully furnished and equipped with your absolute comfort and enjoyment in mind.

The 3 bedrooms are spacious, with new and very comfortable beds covered in fine tasteful linens. Each bedroom has its own private bathtub and shower.

Moonrise Room: Spacious 600-square foot suite upstairs, has a king-size canopy bed, fireplace, skylight, Jacuzzi, ensuite and alcove/sitting room, a private deck and unforgettable views.

Arbutus Room: Main floor. Queen-size bed. Magnificent water views. Private bathroom with tub and shower, and private access to deck.

Harlequin Room: Main floor. Both a Queen-size and a single bed. Water views. Private bathroom with tub and shower, and private access to deck.

Wall to wall glass doors open directly from the elegant Living Room downstairs onto the spacious cedar deck where you will enjoy the magnificent view from comfortable chaise longues, built-in seating surrounding the deck, table, chairs, and a gas BBQ.

Gather your family and friends around the outdoor or indoor table (seats 12) for a memorable meal prepared to your satisfaction in our well-equipped kitchen.  The kitchen is equipped with a gas stove and oven, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, manual and electric coffee makers, a blender and food processor, as well as a complete set of cooking pots and pans, dishes, cutlery, serving platters, full range of cooking utensils, and more.

We provide all the bedding, pillows and towels that you need at the house. Beach towels are optional.  Parlour games, a stereo with iPod dock, and DVD and VHS (yes, still) players, with a wide selection of movies to watch are provided for everyone’s enjoyment and fun. Wireless Internet service is available free of charge for our guests.

Hornby Island boasts a unique mix of pristine sandy, pebble, fossil and sandstone beaches, unparalleled views of the Inside Passage, and the best weather in Canada.  The property offers easy access and covered storage for canoes, kayaks and paddle boards, as well as the opportunity to simply sit back and enjoy the lush surroundings and Hornby’s natural beauty from the beach, garden, deck or house.  Observe the deer, seals, sea lions, otters, Orcas, the rich seasonal variety of waterfowl and, of course, our resident eagles.
